Devanshi Saxena


Devanshi Saxena is a researcher at the Law and Development Group in the University of Antwerp.

She graduated in June 2016 from the National University, New Dehli. As a student at NLU, Delhi, she has been a part of research projects including field research on topics such as identifying cases requiring legal intervention for undertrial prisoners at Tihar Jail in Delhi, identifying the need for digitalisation of data at various stages of the criminal justice system in the state of Madhya Pradesh in central India and the UNDP-GOI Access to Justice for the marginalised communities project. Her main research interests are Human Rights law and Information law.

Devanshi has worked with the NLU, Delhi team since 2014 as a student coordinator and a field researcher for the Case study on Right to water and sanitation for the urban poor in Delhi. This study falls within the WP2, User’s trajectories in human rights law. She will be co-authoring the final report of the study and assisting with the organisation of the upcoming Law and Development, Voices from the South Conference on 19th-22nd September, 2017.
