Dr. Ivana Isailovic
Ivana Isailović is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Perelman Center for Legal Philosophy (ULB). Her research interests include critical legal theory, global litigation, gender studies, human rights and law and development. She holds a PhD in law from Sciences Po Paris (2014). In her dissertation she examines the interplay between conflict of laws, human rights, and the processes of identity marginalization. She is the instigator and the organizer of the Law and Boundaries annual conference.
Ivana works on issues regarding the interplay between human rights and conflict of laws in the transnational space, particularly in cases of historically and present-day marginalized communities: women, LGBTQ community and indigenous peoples. She assisted in the organization of the Third Annual Conference of the Berkeley Comparative Anti-discrimination Study Group which was held in Brussels on the 5th and 6th of May 2014, and which was organized within the HRI project framework.
