Dr. Saïla Ouald Chaib
Dr. Saïla Ouald Chaib is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Human Rights Centre of Ghent University. In 2015, she obtained her doctoral degree at Ghent University with the doctoral thesis “Belief in Justice. Towards More Inclusivity in and through the Freedom of Religion Case Law of the European Court of Human Rights”. In 2016 Saïla conducted a study on national action plans against racism (NAPR) and racism and racial discrimination in Belgium.
Saïla is one of the co-founders and contributor to the blog Strasbourg Observers. Her research interests include Human Rights Law, Freedom of Religion, Procedural Justice, Inclusivity, Equality and Non-Discrimination, Refugee Law and research methodology.
Since October 2016 she is project manager of the IAP “The Global Challenge of Human Rights Integration: Towards a Users’ Perspective”.
