Moritz Baumgärtel

Bio

Moritz Baumgärtel is a PhD researcher at the Perelman Centre for Legal Philosophy of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He holds a B.A. in Social Sciences from UC Roosevelt Academy, an M.Phil. in International Relations from the University of Cambridge (Sidney Sussex College) and an LL.M. in Public International Law from Utrecht University. Beside his interest in human rights law and practice, Moritz has also conducted research on US foreign policy and international climate policy.

Moritz Baumgärtel is working on the PhD project "foreigners in the labyrinth of human rights" within WP2 on the users’ trajectories in human rights law, supervised by Prof. Isabelle Rorive and Prof. Emmanuelle Bribosia (both ULB).
