Prof. Emmanuelle Bribosia

Bio

Professor Emmanuelle Bribosia is full professor at the Law Faculty and the Institute for European Studies of the ULB (Université libre de Bruxelles) and Director of the Legal Department of the Institute for European Studies. She teaches European Union Law, International and European Protection of Human Rights, Fundamental Rights in the European Union and Anti-discrimination Law. In the field of International and European human rights law, she is particularly interested in issues relating to anti-discrimination law, constitutional architecture of the protection of Human Rights in Europe and beyond and the role of the judge in this protection.

Professor Bribosia is, with professor Rorive, the ULB promoter of the IAP network. Together with the team of the Centre Perelman, she is in charge of producing a concept paper within WP1 on “Theoretical models supporting human rights integration”She is also the co-promoter of three PhD researches on “Human rights trajectories of foreigners in Europe in a migratory context” (WP2), Methods and procedures of bridge-building: case study of the European Court of Human Rights” (WP3) and “The Court of Justice of the European Union and the National Margin of Appreciation: the case of Human Rights”  (WP6)
