Sander Steendam was a PhD researcher at the Human Rights Centre of Ghent University from 1 October 2013 till 1 July 2014. He studied law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where he also obtained an LLM in International and European Law. His research was on the topic of regulating divergence in the multi-layered human rights system.
His PhD formed part of work package 6 of the IAP project on Divergence and Coherence in Human Rights Law. It was intended to support the analysis in the VUB and ULB case studies within that same work package.
